First Batch of Orang Asli off to Sabah for PHOAS 2014

The Ulu Tual group representing the Cenwaey Penaney Community Learning Center left for Kota Kinabalu on Sunday to begin their exposure trip to Sabah. They will be hosted by a few local communities where they hope to pick up some tips on the running of the indigenous preschools there.

They will then head for Tenom on the 7th (Thursday) where they will join about 400 Orang Asal participants for the 2014 national-level World Indigenous Peoples’ Day Celebrations (PHOAS 2014).

Another 18 Orang Asli and COAC team members will join them on the 7th for the 4-day event. For more information on the event, go to the JOAS FB page.
